Administrator – Tax Team

Your new role

The prime focus of this role is to provide general office support and client administration to the Tax team. You will also handle incoming calls and provide reception cover during peak times. You will be proactive in identifying the demands within the department and will be capable of managing a variety of tasks whilst adhering to strict deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process client information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Draft letters and collate information
  • Deal with inbound and outbound phone calls and escalate where necessary
  • Liaise with clients and staff as required and provide a consistent high level of service
  • Send accounts reminder letters/emails to clients
  • Administer new incorporations
  • Assist with Engaging and Disengaging clients by following process map
  • Submit change of client addresses via HMRC
  • Carry out money laundering checks
  • Book in & out books and records
  • Bind and send accounts to clients
  • Maintain CRM, ensure up to date, add new clients/suppliers, amend client information etc.
  • Archive files and retrieve files from archive
  • Bank company cheques
  • Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks
  • Assist in maintaining the business’s Health & Safety compliance
  • Scan and distribute incoming post for own area
  • Provide cover for Reception and fellow administration staff

The ideal candidate

  • Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail
  • Able to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Able to manage own workload and work to strict timescales
  • Work well in a team and as an individual
  • Self-starter/self-manage/proactive

The Desirables

  • Proven experience of working as an administrator within an Accountancy, Finance or Legal environment
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Competent in MS office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Confident in learning new systems and maintaining databases
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s to include Math’s and English
  • Possess a clean driving license
  • Friendly/outgoing/professional
