As an Account Manager at Ad Valorem Group, you will play an essential role in managing and enhancing our client relationships within the fast-evolving landscape of accountancy & finance. Representing our progressive firm, you will embody a proactive approach, merging traditional sales and client management techniques with cutting-edge tools and technologies to serve our clients better.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Relationship Management:
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Address client enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Lead client meetings, offering insights, and solution-based approaches tailored to their needs.
2. Account Management:
- Identify potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities based on evolving client needs.
- Oversee the client onboarding process, guaranteeing smooth integration into our delivery teams.
- Ensure all recurring fee clients are to be engaged on direct debit agreements, in line with agreed targets.
- Maximise referral opportunities from existing clients.
3. Innovation and Strategy:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in accountancy solutions, software, and related technologies.
- Propose new solutions and features to meet changing client requirements and market demands.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at refining our service offerings and improving client experience.
4. Collaboration:
- Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing team to maximise coverage of portfolio through testimonials and feedback.
5. Business Development:
- Attend networking events, seminars, and conferences to promote the firm and forge new and existing relationships.
- Develop quotes and proposals for clients by working closely with internal delivery teams
- Successfully engage and onboard new clients to the business.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional solutions to clients, and successfully closing them.
- Ensure Sales pipeline is fully up to date and recorded on our CRM.
- Work closely with the partnerships team to ensure a seamless process, from leads introduced by referral partners to client sign-up and onboarding.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in sales or account management, preferably within a SaaS or tech-driven environment.
- Proficiency in modern CRM tools, ideally Salesforce, and an openness to embrace new technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; particularly with prospects at business owner level.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills to prioritise workload.
- Ability to work in an environment that can sometimes be time and pressure focused.
- Have a passion for understanding and supporting SME’s including sole traders, micro-entities and limited companies.
- Hold a valid UK Driving License.
- Have full right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field.
- Familiarity with available accountancy solutions market or a keen interest in financial tech solutions.
- Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Xero (or other digital bookkeeping/accounting software).
- Be able to understand a client’s needs and provide solutions according to legal requirements and the portfolio offering.
- Proven track record of driving client satisfaction and business growth.
