Nikki Adams – Women Leaders MK Finalist 2017
We are extremely pleased to announce that Ad Valorem’s MD Nikki Adams is a finalist for the Women Leaders MK – Professional Services Award.
Having been shortlisted in both 2015 and 2016 and now recognised within the industry for her contribution to the accounting profession, Nikki Adams has been shortlisted for the 2017 Women Leader Award for Professional Services.
Nikki joined Ad Valorem in 2004 (The company was formed in 2001 by Nikki’s husband Nigel) and in most recent years has been directly responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the business.
Flying the flag for both Women Leaders & Milton Keynes, in October 2016 Ad Valorem won the prestigious ‘Most Innovative Medium Firm’ Award at The 2020 Group Annual Conference – The 2020 group is a network of over 3,500 accountancy practices in the UK and US and so competition is of course, very steep.
Perhaps even more remarkably, for both a woman and a non-accountant, Nikki also won the 2020 Group Managing Partner of the Year Award for her ‘outstanding contribution to the profession’ and notably the first woman and non-accountant to win this award. As a direct result of the presentation Nikki made at the 2020 conference, she was approached to deliver a keynote speech entitled ‘How to build a True 21st Century Practice’ at the internationally recognised Accountex Exhibition.
Nikki’s ability to recognise and develop talent, especially in young staff (we now have 8 under-25’s, 4 more than this time last year) and coupled with her passion for team dynamics has not only allowed her to flourish as an emerging thought leader on the subject, but has enabled Ad Valorem to diversify into a true ‘business hub’ as mentioned above. We are aiming to be the ‘Disruptor’ and not the ‘Disrupted’!
The Women Leaders MK Gala Dinner takes place on 13th October, where the awards will be presented. Everyone at Ad Valorem wishes Nikki the best of luck, we couldn’t think of a more dedicated individual to Professional Services.
